Privacy Policy

Wind Chime Games ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information windchimegames.com collects and how we use it. Our games are sold and distributed through Steam; purchases and in-game accounts are governed by Valve's Privacy Policy.

Information we collect

  • Contact form. When you send us a message we receive your name, email address, topic, the related game and your message. Forms are processed by our provider Formspree.
  • Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address and preferred language, also via Formspree.
  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 with Google Consent Mode to understand how the site is used — for example which pages are visited and from which country. Until you click "Accept" in the cookie banner, no analytics cookies are set and Google only receives anonymous, cookieless measurements (such as a page view and your consent choice) that cannot recognize you across visits. If you accept, analytics cookies are used to recognize repeat visits. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
  • Preferences. We store your language choice (wcg-locale cookie) and your cookie choice (browser local storage). These are strictly necessary and contain no personal data.

Embedded content

Game pages may embed trailers from YouTube (in privacy-enhanced mode) or Steam and a Steam store widget. These services may collect data under their own policies when you interact with them.

How we use information

We use your information only to answer your messages, send the newsletter you asked for, and improve the website. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Retention

Messages are kept as long as needed to handle your request. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics settings (14 months maximum).

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under Canada's PIPEDA or the EU/UK GDPR) you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent. You can change your cookie choice at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer. To make a request, please use our contact form.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
